My name is Shi-ning Huang, a fresh man of NTNU. I have been satisfied with everything in my life since I got the admission of NTNU’s Music department August 2009.
I am 18 years old now. When I was little, I was always regarded as a girl of shy and lack of courage to try something new. But I always look on the bright side of things. This kind of personality sometimes prompts my potential spirit, which makes me not to give up easily. In the process of growing up and learning, I gradually developed a positive personality.
One of my teacher in junior high used to tell me：Choose what you like and love what you chose. My teacher’s word always reminds me to try your best on everything you did. As a result, I ask myself no matter what difficulties I have, I should insist in what I do. Besides, I love to make new. Friends are very important treasure to me. They are someone who can keep you company, share with your happiness and sorrow. You can also learn many things, such as the way of study, doing things and some great attitude toward life experience. They enrich your life by getting along with you. I sometimes considered that I remove some bad behaviors and disadvantages after getting on. And I saw a little improvements of my study as well.
I grew up in a warm, harmonious family. We are not rich while life was full of joy. My parents spend much work to earn enough money so as to support my spending of study. I realize what I need in life cost my parents a lot. So I told myself that I should make their investment worthy. I don’t hope to let them disappoint. Maybe their expectation and modest way of teaching their children are another source of my energy that equipped me with an enthusiastic mind. I have a brother younger than me. Although we are siblings, we share little common in appearance. Most of time, we get along with each other. However, some misunderstanding is inevitable. But sometimes I also feel like he is my good friend.
As for my hobbies that are various. I enjoy playing the piano or singing my favorite songs. I love reading novels no matter what kind they are. For me, reading is not only an activity that can relax but also a way to gain some knowledge to some degree. Actually, I often enjoy everything I can do and everything I am doing. Even if something is difficult to accomplish, I still considered it as a challenge to train myself.
After being an “experienced” student for so long, I started to understand how and why we should set a goal. I really want to say that I am very happy about being a learner from my bottom of heart. Especially once overcome the obstacles, you will be proud of yourself. I am a person who likes to have satisfaction. I belong to music department. Music, of course, is my dream. But I hope I could succeed in other part that I learn. We should not limit to certain things. I believe the first step is to build up an attitude of foresight. With that basic concept in mind, no matter what people or events you meet, you could face it unhurried and do it well!
